This year the 24th Annual Caribbean Fine Art Exhibit (CFAE)
will be held February 18 through 21. The Presidents Day
weekend offers many exciting activities across the island,
and the Caribbean Fine Art Exhibit is one of them! The opening
reception will be held Friday evening, February 18 from
7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sponsored by Diageo USVI, it features
Veuve Cliquot Champagne and a chance to purchase your favorite
painting ahead of the weekend crowds. Tickets are $30.00
and may be purchased at The Good Hope School, Polly's at
the Pier in Frederiksted, Undercover Books in Gallows Bay,
and ib designs and KICKS in Christiansted.
The Caribbean Fine Art Exhibit began 24 years ago as a collaboration
between St. Croix artists and The Good Hope School. Over
the years, our artist community has generously donated their
time and considerable talent to help raise money for scholarships,
enabling many St. Croix children to attend The Good Hope
School regardless of economic circumstance. As we near our
25th year, we are most grateful to our entire community
– artists, patrons, and the host of volunteers and
supporters who have helped to make a difference in the lives
of our island’s children. Thank you. |
